LT Travel, Inc. arranged a wonderful trip for our family to Egypt. Our vacation was based at the Oberoi Mena House just meters away from the Great Pyramids of Giza and the Sphinx, where we had a pyramid-view room. The luxurious accommodations included several gourmet restaurants within the forty – acre, beautifully landscaped hotel compound. The main hotel building was a palace that was built to celebrate the opening of the Suez canal in 1868. The hotel has welcomed presidents, kings and other historic figures, such as Sir Winston Churchill, and has been used as a set for several movies.

There was also a four-night Nile cruise that began 300 miles south of Cairo, and excursions began with the temples of Abu Sembel and Philae at Aswan. Other stops along the Nile included Kom Ombu, Edfu, Valleys of the Kings (where we viewed King Tut in his tomb) and Queens, the temples of Hatshetsup, Karnac and Luxor. Our ship, the Sonesta Moon Godess, was a pleasure to sail, and each room has a private balcony.

Our tour guide in Cairo was highly qualified (she has educational credentials in Egyptology and Coptology) which enhanced the learning experience. All flights, internationally and within Egypt, were flawlessly scheduled, and we were met at each destination by a representative of the local travel company to arrange transfers. The representative in Cairo was particularly helpful, especially with expediting details at the airports.

Margaret and Lina From LT Travel, Inc. provided highly personalized service in making our arrangements. Margaret spent considerable time ensuring that our special requests were met, and we were regularly updated by her via e-mail and telephone. The personalized, attentive service we received from both Margaret and Lina proved that LT Travel, Inc. far surpasses popular chain travel agencies. Since our wonderful trip to Egypt, Margaret has been researching and sending us requested information regarding other destinations. We definitely will plan more trips through LT Travel, Inc.

The price was about the same as what I might have found myself online (if not better), but I didn’t have to spend the hours researching and comparing and figuring out itenary. LT Travel took care of all of it. Why would I do it myself, when Lina can do it better?

The private tour was amazing! It was quite the adventure as the weather was challenging and the original booking for 12/30 was cancelled. However, everything was rescheduled for the next day. Trond our driver was great and the ice tunnels were fascinating. Addi (sp) owner of the company was our driver and tour guide—he is a really interesting guy. Ragnar at KEF Car delivered the van to the hotel and was incredibly helpful with travel advice. Drop-off at their facility near the airport was easy and efficient. The van suited our needs exactly. Hotel Grand was a great choice and we would definitely stay there again. NYE dinner was awesome! Will email you more later—it was a great trip. We cannot thank you enough for all of your help!
